EDITORIAL REVIEW :
Dieci
anni fa, nella primavera del 1998, nasceva Occidental Congress. Nello stesso
anno veniva alla luce la nostra prima monografia dedicata al Blood Axis di
Michael Moynihan. Qualcuno potrebbe dire che ne è passata di acqua sotto i
ponti, eppure, nonostante la miriade di piccoli scossoni che hanno accompagnato
l'evoluzione della cosidetta "scena", ancora oggi preferiamo volgere lo sguardo
verso chi, forte delle proprie qualità e convinzioni, ha saputo fare la
differenza - sempre e comunque. Michael Moynihan rimane uno di questi.
Negli ultimi quattro anni abbiamo accuratamente raccolto e selezionato tutto il
materiale possibile, con l'obiettivo di dar vita a un dossier capace di
rappresentare degnamente il percorso intrapreso da Moynihan in oltre vent'anni
di attività. Partendo dai ruvidi esordi in chiave elettronica di Coup de Grâce,
fino alle ultime sferzate all'insegna di un folk delle origini.
Day of Blood vuole essere molto più di un'arida cronistoria di quanto generato
all'ombra della Kruckenkreuz: al suo interno si è cercato di concentrare
l'essenza dell'Asse attraverso i suoi testi, i documenti prodotti, gli
approfondimenti, centinaia di foto ed immagini inedite, riferimenti d'area e, a
coronamento del tutto, un'esaustiva intervista al padre/padrone di una realtà
seminale che (nel bene e nel male) ha ispirato la scena sotterranea che oggi
tutti noi conosciamo.
«La vicenda di Michael Moynihan non è un
andare, ma un tornare. O una figura più difficilmente definibile, perché
pertiene al dominio della metafisica e ubbidisce al sacro vincolo del silenzio.
Si tratta del compito di coloro che sono chiamati a tradurre il Principio,

Il verticale che incontra l'orizzontale.
La figura della croce e il simbolismo polare ne sono la possibile figurazione.
La verticalità della forma (l'Asse)

non viene annullata, ma trova un efficace campo di espressione, un medium. Siamo
al cospetto di un riuscito esempio di dionisismo apollineo: la formula che

DeV : Dämonische (cat. SM0003)

Certainly it is not essential to know that DeV is the solo project of Teatro
Satanico’s deviLs g. for “Dämonische” is clearly a Satanic album even though its
own timbres seem to be of an entirely different kind, where droning and
glitching suddenly turn into harsh atmosphere clouds and keep going on
mysterious listening paths.
DeV is working with his own ideas here, telling words of true esoteric nature
differing from the exoteric lines we used to hear from the “Satanic Theatre” and
, along the way, conjuring up a new sort of magickal noise where each track is a
key for decrypting and uncovering the inherent philosophy of his artwork : “WORD
is WORLD” (VERBO è VERO).
“Dämonische” tells more than its tale, it puts a new twist on the Satanic plot,
or perhaps, and more to the point, it calls on its listeners to decrypt new
lines made of pulsating noise for electronics and voice. Strange combinations
pointing to an eerie sort of electronic experimentation where the “Demonic”
can’t be solved but just evoked.

Necrophonie
is the name used by the noise duet formed by Devis G. (Teatro Satanico,
Lunus, DeV) & M. Nothing (aka M. Corbelli / Atrax Morgue).
They were yet partner-in-noise ten years ago, indeed a very small portion of
this music had been four-handed composed, performed and tape released on 1996
and 1997 by Slaughter Productions. The duo retrieve parts of mid 90s
live electronics sessions, adding new recordings, and editing and
're-animating' that old tape recorded matter, here-hence 'Necrophonie' name:
for the act of giving new electronic life to 'dead audio recordings'. But the
necrophiliac suggestion is just a fleeting feeling, for a serious thought about
electronic noise predominates: "
The noise is not the negation of the grammar forms, rather than an otherwise
unspeakable assertion of the language.
Indeed only the noise unveils the mere semantics value of the musical game.
Noise is more than Music: Music pertains to entertainment,
Noise pertains to reality".
"SM0002" (enhanced CD + video.mpg + 12 full-colour
pages booklet) mixes power electronics with abstract sonic
expressionism, low frequency pulses, feedback and analogue

This approx. 45 minutes of rough, strange and
weird electronic noise, blended and messed up with Italian language and Veneto
dialect devilish lyrics, are the first audio-cd tracks available by this
in-famous Italian project.
This enhanced CD contains also an mpeg format
video clip version of a T.S. “PICCINA” (a.k.a. “Marta”), rendered by Muzakiller,
a collective of anarch-antinomian artists devoted to perverted underground art.
These visual terrorists are the authors of all
the illustrations and are responsible of the radical re-mixes of “Uomo, donna,
dio” and “Comandante Bruno”, previously arranged in a totally different way and
released on limited hard-to-find vinyl editions.
A last note for those able to read
the Italian language: the booklet contains also an inedited Satanic tale of the
Teatro Satanico explaining Alberto Maria Kundalini’s Satanic philosophy.

analyze and cover the more anomalous blood-themes: there is a thick and notable
history of Human Sacrifices. Then a report about the “Vattienti” (a very
gruesome Southern-Italian catholic folklore festival). An history of the extreme
Italian industrial-noise music (from Maurizio Bianchi to Atrax Morgue’s
“Slaughter Productions”) and a collection of blood-based Italian cooking
recipes. Inside there is a real PAPER-GUILLOTINE to “cut&glue” and to play with!
All the writings
come with neo-pop illustrations, including a collection of full-colour
