aberrant activity in music de-composing and sound's murder. "No More" is a
non-compromise work, a reflection of a man that is watching his end, the cold
analysis of the inutility of any action. Obsessive,schizophrenic,violent minimal
electronic sounds are a soundtrack of a cold hell of nothingness and purity. But

It's an outstanding release, subtle and insidious,
demanding (and replaying) multiple listenings, a work dealing with war themes
and epic remembrances. From the beginning to the very last breath, this disc
exhibits glorious choral passages and powerful vocal effects. This blend of
classicism and technology is quite unique, and drives the work beyond mere
classification. Yet, there'se not a great deal of diversity, or contrast in
quality, so isolating individual tracks would be rather unfair to the rest.
Created from spiritual knowledge rather than pure technology, and impressively
convincing.

In the midst of the Central Cemetary of Riga, the Capitol of Latvia, is the
Brethern Cemetary - Bralu Kapi.
On this Bralu Kapi are the graves of national latvian soldiers and latvian red
army soldiers. Here they found their last peace. The one with the national
utopia against the one with the red utopia, children of the French Revolution.
Father against Son, Brother against Brother. A century of brothers´wars, Europa
tearing herself to pieces. Men bitterish succumbing utopias. The mourning mother
of Latvia, of Europe, surveys her dead sons. The grave of the latvian officer
besides the bolshevik commissar, the peasant besides the kolchosnik, the unknown
besides the unknown, brother next to brother. On one tombstone the latvian
swastika, on the other the Red Star. Separately they marched, now reunited in
their native soil.
The battles of the war were the streetbattles of ideologies.
Separated in life, united in death - here on the Bralu Kapi.

Hati’s tracks those were originally recorded in 2003. His rhythmajickal remix
created structures with a long range of mystical drones. This album is

Tamas Katai is an Hungarian talented musician deeply involved into Hungarian
musical scene. He creates music with a very poignant sensibility.
The tracks of this album were recorded between 2002 and 2005. These create a
kind of chamber-music opera played with the help of a small ensemble of special
guest musicians, Anita Birò and Gabriella Racz on violins and Andrea Derdack on
cello, while Krisztina Toth provided the lyrics, which have been translated into
English language in an enclosed booklet.
This album contains 56 minute approx. of very beautiful classical acoustic tunes
blended with today’s electronic music innovations.

Disturbing and dim ambient soundscapes mixed with a gloomy,
throbbing and dramatic industrial sound and with an imperceptible
but relevant touch of avantgarde solutions. The outlines drawn by
Vladimir Hirsch are not created casually. Every single element is
carefully drawn up and the result is amazing in its will to astonish
through the whirling soundscapes of a charming fascination for the
cinema in powdery rusty colours.
The Czech composer Vladimír Hirsch is founder and leader of
ensembles Skrol, Aghiatrias and Zygote.
„Sense Geometry“ is an extensive project based on the musical
application of fictive geometric symbolism for certain physiological
mechanisms of the psyche. It is an attempt to detect the existence
of some kind of order in the seeming chaos. These tendencies may
already be recognised in the composition principles of op. 52. The
author calls this musical form of mathematical theory “fractal
musical geometry”. For this purpose he uses signals of the logic of
intervals, rhythm, composition and instrumentation. An important
component is the sound, creating a simply structured, but
emotionally dense atmosphere, where the industrialised
instrumentation of songs plays the role of a chaotic, yet irritating
element, the hypnotic concept of rhythm than plays a role of time’s
intermediary and guides attention inwards to other plains of view.
This album is the second and final remixed version of original
recording, evolved basic principles and precized original sound
idea.

„Concert industriel pour orgue is initially an extensive composition in
quasi-oratorial form, in final version abbreviated and restructuralised.
Classical form is here only in contours. Opus is characterised by thematic
spurts, erupting in desultory pulses and, exhausted, dying away in a mass of
industrial sounds, without consequent ending of idea. The industrial matrix is
also a space and energy source for volcanic activity proper. The solo role of
the organ is surprisingly not dominant and its parts are often taken over by
other instruments. The revised and re-worked second version of the composition
is placing more emphasis on systematic approach to its theme and sound, without
essentially influencing the above said basic qualities of the opus. In 2002, the
third and final concert version was created, markedly different from the
original ones with closer concept and highlighted church atmosphere of the
composition. This is now released by the Italian label Ars Benevola Mater, both
separately and as a part of the author's set of works entitled "The Assent to
Paradoxon" (2006-2007 Ars Benevola Mater).

Symphony
No.4 "Descent From The Cross", op.67, 2001-2002, is a thematic
opus, inspired originally by Dostoevski's interpretation of Hans Holbein's
painting of same name. It is a polemic with his questioning of the Christian
faith in Christ's resurrection, since the level of cogency in portraying a truly
dead body is strikingly exposed in the works of the German artist. Also because
of this the symphony may be understood as a sort of filling of the gap between
Christ's death and laying into the grave, i.e. the process, which is not given
much space in the bible. The author is trying to create a deeply immersed,
painful perception here, dominated by uncertainty and doubt, but through the
belief in spiritual strength inclined to hope and strife for the fulfilling of
the faith's thesis. In expressive terms the work combines expressive means
ranging from symphonic to noise, in a totality which up to now represents the
author's concept of the so-called integrated musical form the best.

The album Exorcisms (opus 61/II) was created in 2006 as another
monolithic work in spirit of the author´s original conception of
integrated music with further evolution in the characteristics of
composition style towards more complicated inner articulation of
music pieces whose structure oscillates between tense or martial
elements and music imagination of all absorbing ungraspable space
doubtlessly demonstrating the author´s existential dialog between
inner weight of physical reality and admiration for immeasurable
atributes of spirituality in human. Then, that "cosmic" element is
of various intensity, allegorically expressing some kind of
philosophical antithesis in confrontation between spiritual and
materialistic world representing by its characteristics the space of
our mind in opposition to the monodimensional limitation of our
thinking by load of the matter. One could call this album a ripe
resultation of the author´s struggle for further music dimension in
the system of "order in chaos" and another new step in its specific
dark ambient classical or better said post-industrial dark ambient
non-classical integration.
The name "Exorcisms" evokes some medieval connotations, its
genuine sense here embodied in its simple general interpretation –
as a prayer, serving to exemption from maleficiencial tendencies.
Here we can hear echoes of medieval Czech chorals with tones
abruptly and ostentatiously invading the created space as remarkable
reminders of permanent struggle of two antagonistic forces in human,
musically described as harmonic and sound thesis and antithesis in
one, their cross-fades, changes, mutual interferences and emphasis
on consciousness of necessity of their coexistence. Obviously enough
the author´s affection for the archaic is indubitable and probably
arose from generally false sight of the past and today. He evidently
cannot fight off conviction of the presence of spiritual brightness
in "dark ages" and the darkness of absence of that quality in
proclaimed "bright" modern period.

Contemplatio
per nexus, op. 77, for integrated techniques is an extent work (79
min.) on philosophical-teological theme, based on the writing
"Teologia spiritualis mystica", dealing with the process of
transformation of human mind during mystical contemplation. The
composition describes relatively exactly all phases of it, beeing
divided into two seemingly thematically antagonistic parts
(complementary-affirmatory) that are but indiscerptible compounds of
natural contemplative process. Particular periods are represented by
subsections continuously merged one another.
The album is an intense musical dialogue between space and detail,
a kind of transcription of the relation between human and cosmos,
the fight and reconcilliation of intrinsic and extrinsic, real and
surreal world. Polymodal architecture of compositions, their sound
characteristics, oscillating from perceptional - not voluminal -
levels on the border of subconsciousness (Oratio quietis / A Quiet
Prayer) over X-ray radiation from obscurity (Obscuritas) to
excruciating strenght (Tortio Sensuum / Senses Torture) and cohesion
of integrated techniques of instrumentation make from this album one
of the author's major works. Reception of this opus, expressed with
very high autenticity and exposed emotions, needs absolute
concetration and submersion of receiving subject, invoking really
the state similar to mystical contemplation.

While stumbling around a
dark and dusty used bookstore in Manhattan’s Lower East Side Carlos Boll
stumbled across a book of poetry by John Clare. Not being familiar with his work
prior to this encounter he was taken aback by the beauty of Clare’s words. While
maintaining a rather personal and reflective nature, the poems invoke a walk
though the forest on a wonderful spring day. Being struck by such inspiration
Carlos knew at once he should set some of his favorite pieces to music. Enhanced
by the dulcid tones of vocalist Isabella Piombo, Carlos purposefully kept the
music in the realm of traditional British folk, in homage to Clare’s homeland,
although modern influences certainly
crept in during the recording sessions.

with less overwhelming force. As though, it evokes in another, more
crude and simultaneously more inward impression the blood of
Golgotha, unearthly herniation of Light. This work is at all points
organized and structuralized, it “hiss” by Cosmos and redemptions of
crucified Word agony. For dynamism and dramaturgy of sound radiance
was very beneficial sensitive and empathetic work of soundmaster
Vojtěch Haňka, that lighten the opus not only in its multilayered
articulation, but also is the radiation of its mystical pulp. I
recommend to everybody listen to on bended knees, personally, I
cannot sufficiently cloyed with transcendent offensive of that
prayer, full of steep ontologic abysses and eschatological
monumentality. I am astonished and scorched. Thanks. Opus magnum.

MIZUKO JIZO 7" serie
One of the most beloved of
all Japanese divinities, the MIZUKO JIZOBuddha
takes care of and represents stillborn, miscarried and aborted foetuses. Unique
to Japan, the ceremonies surrounding the jizo were created and developed by
women. Over the centuries, the image of the mizuko jizo
has changed, from a dignified, adult figure, to a serene looking monk-child with
a Buddha smile. The jizo
has a double purpose. The image both represents the soul of the deceased
infant/foetus, and is also the deity who takes care of children on their
otherworld journey. The ritual of honouring the foetus or stillborn is called
mizuko kuyo.
The word mizuko
means "water child," or "deceased infant/foetus," and kuyo
means "memorial service."
In Japan, water is both an acknowledgement of death and an expression of faith
in some kind of rebirth. When the foetus or newborn dies, it goes from the warm
waters of the womb to its former liquid state, in which it prepares itself for
an eventual rebirth. Historically, mizuko
were buried beneath the floorboards of houses, where they were thought to mingle
with the water of natural springs, which then carried them to larger bodies of
water beneath the surface of the earth, which held special significance as
receptacles of life.
The most common days for mizuko kuyo
are during the three traditional holidays when offerings are made to ancestors:
bon in
the summer, and at the spring and summer equinoxes. The mizuko kuyo
can be performed in different ways. Many Buddhist temples in Japan have special
sections where a woman who can afford to may buy a tomb for her mizuko.
The tomb consists of a stone, on top of which stands a carved figure of a jizo,
generally wearing a red bib, and carrying a staff with rings or a stick with
bells on top (which he uses to help the mizuko
who can't yet walk). On the stone is written a kaimyo
- a name given to a person after death.
These sites are not somber graveyards. In fact, they are often quite "happy"
places. Some of the cemeteries are equipped with playgrounds for children. While
the children play, women (and sometimes men) bow, observe moments of silence,
and ladle water over the mizuko jizo
in an act of ritual cleansing. At times they may light a candle or a few sticks
of incense, decorate the tombs with flowers, pinwheels and other toys, drape
garments over the jizo,
and even erect umbrellas over his head to keep off the rain.
In Japan, abortion is seen as a necessary sorrow, a painful social necessity,
and a means for protecting what are felt to be "family values." Some Buddhists
worry that abortions could become trivialized, which would lead to a hardening
of people's hearts. The mizuko kuyo
serves a positive, therapeutic role, keeping people in touch with their emotions
and their loss.
I love children, I think they are our future. I dedicate this 7" serie to them,
with all my love and all my respect for new lives.
